Bellaire Residence

Having worked with the clients on two previous homes, designer Rick Grett understood the importance of creating elegant transitional interiors that reflect their interest in simple European design.

The Stairwell includes a European-inspired iron railing designed by Rick and locally hand-crafted.  Working with skilled craftsmen, he created a number of unique pieces (the cabinetry in the Powder Room and the Kitchen Island).

Rick’s selection of the architectural finishes creates cohesion throughout the home, including:

  • A striking Louis Philippe commode along with the French stone garden urn complement the designer’s Entry iron railing.

  • The Kitchen features split-face Scabos travertine along with handmade porcelain backsplash tile.  The eleven-foot ceilings are less overpowering by including glass upper cabinets showcasing the client’s vintage Yellow Ware collection.

  • The focal point of the master bedroom is the antique French painted trumeau mirror, accompanied by simple walnut rods with damask drapes.
